Hi,

Just purchase a 02 civic Si the power door lock and the factory alarm does not work the car only has 4200 miles don't think it is a hardware problem.  It seems to me that the previous owner might have had a different head unit in there.  Does anyone know if the alarm and the power door lock has anything to do with the radio?

Yes, in the newer Civics, if you take out the factory radio, then you could have problems with the factory keyless entry system. Most shops I know just added in a second harness so that they could leave the factory deck in there, if they did not do tis there could be some sort of problem with the lock still, even if the factory head unit has been re-installed.
Not really sure how to fix this problem, if it is still under warrenty then I would take it back to Honda and see what they can do.
