In the ignition harness it is the wire that shows 12 volt when you crank the car and it is not showing anything when the hey is in any other position

what kind of car is it? you SHOULD use a digital multi meter, but you can get away with a test light. the 12 volt will show 12 volt in all key postiions. your diagram says to use a wire that is 12 volt in the on and start position... so you need the ignition wire ie it is cold with the key off but shows 12 volts in all other key positions including during crank. when you find the starter wire cut it and connect it to the black wires, it does not matter which black wire you put to the starter wires just put one black to one side of the starter wire and put the other black to the other side of the starter wire. ot does not matter which because you are simply installing a switch and it is either on or off

The ignition wire is a thick BLACK / YELLOW wire at the back of the ignition switch the starter wire is black white also at the same harness.

ok i got everythign install but its not working ok this is the problem

well frist of all this is how the keypad starter works(suppose to work) You put your key in and turn it to the on or start place then the lillte keypad turns on you enter your code then start up the car.

Well this is what is happening to me after i enter my code my lights come on (the normal lights oil battery door open that stuff this is all normal) but when i try to start the car it doesnt start it trys but jsut doesnt make it. But when i just hook the to starter wire together it starts fine and i also put a toggle swicth right there to test my wire gauge and that also works

so does anyone know what could be wrong?
