Passive arming is turned on. When driver door or hood (pin) is open, car will not arm. When only passenger door is open, car will arm. When I arm the system and open the passenger door, alarm triggers. So not sure it is a bad trigger. Anyone have any ideas?

What kind of car is the alarm in?

From what you described, it sounds like you have current sensing turned on and multiple isolated door triggers. I'd suggest turning current sensing off, then diode isolating each door trigger and connecting them to the door trigger input of the alarm. If you have negative door triggers, connect the anode sides towards the alarm. If they're positive, connect the cathode (striped side) sides towards the alarm.

How do you tell if you have negative door triggers? Forgot to add that I have a 95 Supra. Please advise. Thanks.

All Japanese vehilces have negative door trigger. Most vehicle today have negative door trigger. Only Ford have positive door triggers and some newer Chrysler vehicles started to use positive door trigger. Now, most newer Fords are starting to use negative door trigger.

You will need to test the door trigger to test it to see it's negative or positive trigger.

It sound like you have a bad passenger door pin and you should replace it.

I thought it might be a bad trigger too. But, when all all doors are closed, system is armed, and the passenger door gets opened, the alarm goes off. So doesn't that mean the trigger is working?

If the dome lamp comes on when the passenger is door opened, then the passenger door trigger is not bad. If this is the case and if current sensing is on, opening the passenger will make the light turn on which will cause the alarm to trigger. If the dome light does not come on when the passenger door is opened, but it does when you open the driver's door, then it could be a bad door trigger and the alarm is likely being set off by another sensor (impact, motion, field disturbance, etc.) However, on your vehicle you have a common negative door trigger and do not need to diode isolate each door trigger. You only need to tie into this common lead which will be either RED / White or RED / Black behind the driver's kick panel. This lead will show continuity to ground with either door open and 12V+ with both doors closed. It sounds like you may have just tied into the driver's door pin.

Thanks for the reply. The dome light does come one when the passenger door is opened. Can you email me or PM me instructions (maybe even diagram)? I would really appreciate it. The original installer may have done it wrong. Thanks.

The common door trigger lead in your vehicle will be either RED / White or RED / Black behind the driver's kick panel. You want to connect the alarm's negative door trigger input (Green wire in 12 Pin harness) to this wire. Here's the Viper 600ESP installation guide.
