Just installed keyless entry on my 99 gmc truck.    went from manual locks to now power keyless locks.   :)

First, Is there a way to have the headlight/tail lights flash when I lock/unlock the doors without an alarm?

Second, is there a way when I unlock the doors from the remote to have it turn on the inside lights?

thanks!!!

Most keyless entry systems have an output wire from them to trigger the parking lights during lock/unlock. Some also have a wire for illuminated entry hook-up. See the the car security section on the left hand side of this website for the proper way to wire it up (lightflash and illuminated entry). The parking light wire in your truck is dark brown (+) at the light switch and the interior light wire is white (-) at the underdash lights.

if the unit does not have an out put for parking lights you can use a timed relay and that will work for flashing the parking lights. Or you may be able to use the horn output to turn on a relay that would be even better.
