i just installed a remote start on a 03 dodge disel. the remote start  works fine when his trailer is not connected to trailer. as soon as he connect his trailer and tries to remote start the truck the truck starts but dies within 3 seconds, any info is greatly appreciated. also where can i find a tach wire

did you use tach or volatge sensing??

i used voltage sensing and i tried setting it for low voltage instead of high but still have the problem. didnt know where to find the tach wire

go to one of the injectors use the uncommon wire color and see what happens.

dont mean to sound dumb but im not familiar with new dodge disels where and how many injectors should their be

sorry you have a deisel my bad ok,there is a pcm on the passenger side of the engine bay.the pcm is a liitle computer you should not be able to miss it.the tach wire is a gray/black wire in the black plug at the pcm. good luck if using a dmm set to ac voltage and test wire you should get a reading when the car is started it should be 2 -10 volts it will raise with rpms.

NOT SURE BUT WORTH A TRY.
EITHER WAY IF IT SOVES OR DONT IT IS BETTER TO HAVE A TACH WORKING WITH REMOTE START.
