Hey all,
Workin on a 2000 Toyota Camery LE.

Wants the Remote Start (cheap unit from Target).
It also has Keyless entery on the remote.

Now, the Camery already has Factory Keyless Entry and the Panic button on the factory remote.

Now, can i just install the new Remote start and Keyless? Or will it interfear with the Panic and the factory keyless entry?

On a side note: if a car has a factory "Panic" button, does that mean it has an alarm? or not?

Thanks!

Just because it has a panic button does not mean it has a factory alarm. All that means is that the person get sent to horn off with the remote.

Yes you can just hook up the new RS/keyless system without a problem. Make sure when you are looking for lock/unlock wires you test them by useing the key in the passenger side door. This car also needs a bypass for RS, use DEI part# 555X or 555U.

-------------
Remember check all your wires with a DMM!

I highly doubt a 2000 LE has a transponder in the key. Usually only the 6 cylinder Camry (XLE?) has one.
