i've installed an ingine start alarm in a 97 e320. the alarm works fine. however, the car wont remote start becuse of the imobolizer in the key. i have a bypass module from dei (555u) but i can not take the swithc apart to place the ring in place. am i using the correct module, if so how should take the switch apart. any help will be appriciated. thank you

Is the key a flip out blade key, or the newer bladeless key fob ( switched over in late 1997)? If its the newer style, the electronic ignition (eis) comes out easily, use a pocket screwdriver and spin the plastic trim ring counter clockwise, the EIS should come right out.
