Hey, i just got a compustar 2WFMR installed on a 91 Dodge Daytona. At the place i bought\installed it they were having trouble unlocking the car with keyless entry with out blowing fuses; even a 60 amp one. They said that it was my passenger side lock switch that was causing the problem because it would only lock, not unlock for some reason. So once i fixed the switch they said just put in a fuse and i am off to the races. I fixed the switch so it now locks and unlocks, but its still blowing fuses. What would the proper size fuse be? and did they maybe wire it wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
Jesse
a 15A fuse is really all you need for a keyless entry, dont put anything too big for a fuse because you can damage the module. dont mess with the install at all because that will void the warranty! bring it back to the shop where you got it installed and let them fix their mistake. you paid your money now you need to get your moneys worth.

Well, from the drivers side switch the doors would lock and unlock, but from the passenger side the doors would only lock, there was a problem with the switch. I got a new switch, and i can lock and unluck both doors from both switches, and its still blowing the fuses. thanks
Jesse
Well, if you got a new door lock switch and it locks and unlocks the door fine. Than it's the installation. Are you blowing the alarm door lock fuse or the factory door lock fuse.
If you are blowing the alarm door lock fuse than the installer have wire the door lock wrong. He will have to fix it. The Daytona has Reversal Door Lock System and has to hook up correctly than it will work.
Here is a diagram for it.

The fuse thats blowing is the alarm door lock fuse. I'll take it back there and get them to figure it out. Thanks a bunch guys.
