Hi i have a pretty dumb question but i just dont know.
I'm doing a remote start in a 1998 Nissan Sentra. The diagram shows a factory disarm wire. Do i NEED to hook up the remote start oe disarm wire to this?

If this is the case....What for factory alarm does this thing actually have?

-nothing is a dumb question. its a dumb thing when you screw up when you had a chance to ask. ppl here ask for a second opinion all the time, so dont hesitate.

-youll need to hookup this wire. ur fact alarm will arm automatically(passive) and you have to use that wire to disarm ur fact alarm b4 RS or it will go off.
-if you ever arm ur fact alarm and try to stick a key in a turn it, the alarm will go off. hope this answer ur question.

One other question for you.
I've been doing many of these remote starts now.
Basically just following instructions but not really understanding exactly why im doing each thing on different vehicles. Is there a book that explains each connection and why? For instance in this factory disarm wire deal.

should try the Omega books, they offer good wire info and alot of reasoning in the back pages, the have saved my ass a couple times

oh yeah....forgot one thing about factory alarm. ur fact alarm may equip with starter kill relay and you need to disarm or ur RS is obsolete.

Hi I've been doin remote starts for a few years now and never had this problem before.

I have a 1998 Nissan Sentra I put a RS900IV remote start in. Sometimes the vehicle starts right up. Other times it just tries to turn over but don't? It's also supposed to try to start after a failed start and does not retry?

Please help me!
