I am installing a Crime Stopper RS-999 in a 2003 TrailBlazer and I have a question . . . There are two ignition wires (pink and white) and two accessory wires (orange and brown) on the TrailBlazer. The RS has only three wires (IGN, ACC, and IGN#2 or ACC#2). I need to know if I have to add relays or if I can just use the ACC wire to power the two accessory wires. I would greatly appreciate some advice on how to handle this. I assume this may be the case in other vehicals too.  Thank you in advance for your help.

Use your ignition #1 to power the pink wire, ignition #2 to power the white wire and the acc wire to power the orange wire in the vehicle. The brown wire is for your accessories like the wipers and radio. Don't tie the brown and orange together as this could result in damage to the vehicle's electrical system. The only way to power them both up is to isolate them with the use of a relay.

Thanks for the info. Just curious does no brown wire = any check engine lights?

9 times out of 10 you will not have any problems with not powering up the brown wire on most GM's. Every once in a while you'll run into one where it needs to be powered up. (Seems random to be honest with you). I would say fire up the pink/WHITE/ and orange accessory and you should be good to go. Good luck,

Mike
