Could anyone please send me the wiring info for this car, and also if i should know of any lil tricks or setbacks would be also appreciated. If i remember correctly from installation manuals for the avital 4100, this car comes with PK3 right?   So is that a pretty tough job to do also? Thanks in advance....

Set backs? Well, how about the fact that you have to go into ever door to get the door trigger, you have to get the lock wires (and factory disarm) in the drivers door, the main power at the ignition is low current so you will probably have to get power at the battery, parking lights have to be tagged on the passenger's side using - trigger, etc... Not a fun car.

Car takes a little more time than others but not a huge deal. Your correct PK3 it is.

At the ignition harness you can pickup the following:

Pink - Ignition +
White - Ignition 2 +
Orange - Accessory +
Yellow - Starter +
Black - Horn (-)
Key Sense - L. Green (-)

You can tag your park lights up at the headlight switch:

BROWN / White (-) @ Switch

In the drivers door you can pickup the following:

Lock - RED / Black (-) @ Lock Switch or Power window switch
Unlock - ORANGE / Black(-) @ Lock Switch or Power window switch
Trunk Release - Black (-) @ Switch
Factory Alarm Disarm - L. Green (-) @ Module above speaker.

Other Misc wires:

Brake - White (+) @ Switch
Tach - White @ Coil on pass front of engine
All Door trigger just pickup a wire off of the driver underdash light. First make sure that light comes on when you open any door in the car.

For battery power the ignition wiring is a thinner gauge so DON'T get your main power at the ignition harness. Either run a wire to the battery or drop the passenger underdash panel you should be able to find a thick power wire running over there. A little time consuming but nothing real difficult. The door panel on the '03 has 1 screw revealed by removing the trim bezel around the door handle. The rest just has pop clips. '01 should be similar. For the PK3 you can use a key in the box bypass OR there are no key required bypasses available for this car. Honestly I think the hardest part is getting the wires through the driver door boot but even that is doable without too much trouble. Good luck,

Mike

Get a 456a. Does lock, unlock, arm, disarm thru databus. I'm not too big a fan of the Passkey bypasses out there. My shop has spare keys we can program to the vehicle instead. Less wiring, cheaper and easier. Never done an alarm in one, they are usually owned by senior citizens.
