I installed Audiovox APS686 Remote Start in my 1998 Tahoe.  Everything works fine but I have no tachometer.  I hooked tach wire to white wire from coil.  Any information that anyone can provide about this problem would be helpful.

the tach on the truck now doesn't read??  if so, sounds completey coincidental...

Any small chance that you've got a molex disconnected? Unplug the brain and see if the tach comes live again. Verify again that you've got ac showing on that line. Definitely sounds bizarre, never seen this before.

I got it working I didn't have a wire powered up. thanks for the replys thought
