I have a 2k Acura TL.And I want to add a remote start to my OEM alarm and stuff....Anyhow. Can I use the Panic output from my factory module as a trigger for an add-on remote start?Or do I have to buy the systems that require you tohit the lock button 3 times or some sequence like that?

Thanks!
Johnathan

Or does anyone know the location of the "panic" wire?
Thanks

Why would you want to use the panic wire as your remote start activation ? The activation wire on the add on remotes require a (-) trigger. Not sure that the panic function is what you want as it will probably be multiplexed into the vehicle's keyless entry system and door locks.

Ok, I was just wondering. Most Add-on remote startsystem work on Aux output from factory keyless entry.I don't think that my TL has an aux. output. Thatswhy I was wondering if its possible to use the panicoutput. But your right, it would be multiplexed. Is there an aux output? Or what are my other options?

Thanks!

I tried to install an Add-on remote start tonight but got stumped by the "lock" negative trigger wire. I think that the wiring diagram I have is incorrect.

Does ANYONE know where the location of this wire isin my 2000 Acura 3.2TL?

Thanks!

Is there anything else I need to know about installing my Remote start? Is there only 2 wiring to tap into in the ignition harness? (Ignition#1 & starter)?

Any advice is helpful!

Well, I tried out that wire and it was the correct one....... BUT!

I should of been more specific. Cause those wires lock
and unlock the car, but I don't need to do that, I just wanted my Add-on Remote start to moniter the wire for a negative pulse when I hit lock with my remote. But those wires are only recieve the negative pulse when the switch on the passanger door is hit, not when the remote unlocks the car.

From what I can tell, the alarm sends a positive pulse to the door locks when its locked.

Is there ANYWHERE in my car where a wire gets a negative pulse when I disarm my alarm???

Or can I add a relay to get the positive pulse to also send a negative pulse to my Remote Start???

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the suckie thing is that you cant use ur FOB to unlock ur door, so u have to use ur key to unlock manually

ur doorlocks should outputtin neg pulse not positive.

check ur remote starter addon they should have specific wires to do those tasks, like disarm, 3rd ign.....

use a relay to pulse ur addon in this fashion
85-lock input (-)
86-12volt constant fuse
30-ground
87-output initiate remote start wire(-)

place a blocking diode to block the lock/unlock switch, so you wont be able to start with the switch at the door panel.

i was able to use the FOB after remote start on a 96 accord. there is this key sense wire i interupted while remote start so it doesnt sense the key being in, so the FOB unlock/lock works out great.

have fun!!!!!

I tried EVERY wire comming in and out of the driver, passenger and one of the back doors for a wire that is at 12v and then negative triggered when I hit the lock button on my remote. I couldn't find one.

If you hit the physical lock switch on the door then
it will negative trigger. But that doesn't do me any good.

Does anyone know if the powerlock actuators are negative triggered?
