I have a 1998 ford explorer and I need to know how do i install a phoenix digital 2-way car alarm to the bypass module. so I can have remote start

i have 98 ford explorer and i just bought a phoenix digital remote start and i cant find the output on the alarm

Output from the factory alarm? If so there isn't one.

as i've told other people in different threads, it's a simple matter of hooking the wire they normally want you to hook to the oil pressure sensor, to the alternator field wire. the field wire at the alternator will read ground when the engine is not running, and will read 12v+ when the engine is running - i've done this a bunch of times with these alarms and it works better than using the oil pressure sensor - and of course, on the late model fords, it's about the only way you can do it since the oil sensor in them is different from the kind they want you to attach to and can't be used for this alarm to indicate if the engine is running or not.
