I have 2 trucks, one issue with both, one issue sticks only to one.

I have installed a compustar something or other on both of them. The users want to use their driver's priortity unlock on them. The Compustar unit has a provision for that having 2 unlock wires, one on first press of the button, then both on the second press of the button. I don't know how to wire it into the truck though, or if it's even possible. Maybe it's integral to the factory keyless and I can't do it. Can anyone help with this issue? The trucks are both 2003 King Ranch Fords, one F-150, the other F-350 super duty.

The other issue is only on the F-350, I don't know where to tap for the wait-to-start light. All my sources have said hit a BLACK/ violet (if memory serves me correctly) in a 42 pin connector under the air cleaner. I think this must be specifically for the 7.3L diesel and doesn't apply to the new 6.0L diesel because there is no 42 pin connector underneath the air cleaner. Anyone know the solution? I tried to find a good source on the instrument cluster, that was a waste as the light is an LED. Thanks in advance.

The priority door unlock is possible, but what you need to do is hook up the first unlock wire ( BLUE ) to the driver's door motor through a relay. You will have to test the driver's door motor wire and see what polarity it is and use the relay and set it up for a (-) or  (+) trigger . The other unlock wire ( RANGE/BLACK ) will go to the normal unlock wire for all doors. Set up the relay system accordingly for the 2nd pulse unlock and you now have priority door unlock.

For the '03 350 the tach is with 6 smaller gauge wires that are loose and terminate in the driver's kick panel (at the back of the fuse box). They are attached to the outside of a large harness there. Tach is one of those wires ( GREEN/ White ). The WAIT TO START wires that I have for the truck is VIOLET/ORANGE or WHITE/ LT. GREEN at the spot that you listed above.

Thanks for the help, that makes perfect sense now with regard to the driver priority, why didn't I think of that. Question though, I'm most likely going to have to go into the door to get to the motor wire correct? They wouldn't have had to pull the motor wires outside to door for any reason. Is this correct? (I HATE going inside doors, especially the drivers door)

Thanks again

The VSM ( security module ) is to the right of the accelerator pedal above the transmission hump below the radio. ( Not accessible from radio opening ). Target wire is RED / orange for unlock motor wire. Test for polarity and set up relay for proper trigger.
