Hi i'm wanting to put a remote start on this vehicle, but i only have the one key not two. I read on here where you can use the 555U to act as like the main key brain with keys made from like walmart. My question is this, how can you wire that in and also have it activate from the remote start? I know someone must of had it done before, since there's really nothing out there that's really that impossible to do LOL.

You can do it without the 555U, this would be wired in, and you can start the car with a non-transponder key, and the remote start will work.  This is not recommended, your choice thou.  Once this is done, you cannot use a transponder key to start it, you must only use non-transponder keys.  I cant post the diagram, so email me and I will email you the diagram.  The diagram shows how to use it with the remote start, just dont use the relay, hook the two wires together.  So the transponder is bypassed all the time.

Just don't be surprised one day if you go out to the van and it won't start because the key is too cold.

Okay, i tried to use the relay and wire option, but didn't work well with me. How about someone sending me some info for using the 555u bypass module?   I hope someone can help me out. I heard that i would have to use a diode and a relay on the blue wire coming off the 555u.

Hi.  I am trying to get an Ungo RS151 with 555u combination in my 2001 Windstar.  I have it installed, the key in the 555u programmed correctly, and the keyless entry works fine.  I have the bulldog security wiring diagram for this vehicle.  The problem I am having is with the remote start function.  I can not seem to get it to work without shutting off.  Let me tell you what I have done.  I have tried to start the vehicle with the key in the ignition, no 555u connected.  Starts and shuts off.  This eliminates the 555u as the problem?  I have tried with doors locked and unlocked before starting.  With the doors locked, the parking lights stay on for the duration of the start cycle.  With the doors unlocked the parking lights blink, then blink again right after the start, but do not stay on.  I have tried changing the SmartSense power sensor to the tach sense by switching the DIP switch #4 inside the module.  I am at a loss, and would really like to be able to tell my wife I fixed this soon, as it was her xmas present.  Any suggestions?  What is the reference to a diode and relay on blue wire of 555u?  Do I have to do something with the parking light wires and a relay?  HELP!  Thanks in advance.

Jim
