I am Installing a Clifford RSX3.5 in my 97 ford explorer sport, i was wondering if i needed to use any resistors on any of the components of the car or diode isolate anything beside the door triggers. Also was wondering how to wire relays to make windows go up and down, as my wireing diagram just shows one wire to make each window go up and down.. Finally, is there any way to integrate my keyless entry code, on my door, to the Clifford RSX 3.5. Thanks. (And if there are any type of special applications i need to make if they are vehicle specific it would be appreciated.)
I just installed a Clifford Matrix RSX3.5, and it has a wire to arm the factory alarm, however according my cars wiring diagram the only way to arm the factory system is to send a pulse to the door tigger wire and the power lock wire. However when i do this it connects the door trigger wire and the power lock wire, so whenever i open the doors it locks the doors repeatedly until i close them or whenever i manually lock the doors the car says door ajar. I have tried using diodes, which fixes the whole connecting the two wires together problem, but then the factory alarm doesnt arm. (placed two diodes on the wire coming from the new alarm, with the silver band on the side of the new alarm, allowing signal to flow from new alarm only, and connected one diode to the power locks and the other to the door trigger). Has anyone had this problem also, or know how to fix it? I pretty sure it is common in all fords. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
