i have a cheesy KARR alarm that a friend took out of his focus. it's al older model, but it was working great. it's got starter kill, the horn honk alarm thingy (lol), and a shock sensor, then a relay of some sort. i know what all the wires on the alarm are for, supposedly, but i need to know which one goes where on my car. i have a 2001 chevy cavalier, automatic, 2.2 4 cylinder. i've installed pretty much anything car-audio related, but never tackled an alarm before. somebody help! and if you tell me just wire colors and what they are, i don't know if that will be enough. i'm more of a "detailed instructions" kind of guy. feel free to email me at cbendel@cox.net. thank you!! a quick response is appreciated. i want to install the alarm this weekend.

much appreciated, now here are the connections i'm having problems with. there's a parking light output, and parking light input on the alarm. which one goes where? the way that it LOOKS like it goes is the parking light input goes to a hot 12v power source, and the parking light output gets spliced inline with the parking light (brown) wire...correct? here are the other connections i'm going to use on the alarm...can you sort of "fill in the blanks" for me? not just where it goes, but how and where the wire meets it would be great. RED. 12V PARKING LIGHT INPUT (+) ?
WHITE. PARKING LIGHT OUTPUT (+) (assuming it goes inline w/ the pk light wire)
BLUE. NEGATIVE (-) TRUNK OUTPUT (CURRENT LIMITED) (don't think i need this one, as i don't have power trunk)
GREEN / WHITE. DOME LIGHT SUPERSVISION (1 OF 2 #30) (??confused)
BLACK/ WHITE. NEGATIVE (-) HORN OUTPUT (CURRENT LIMITED) (no siren, does this go inline with the horn?)
GREEN / WHITE. DOME LIGHT SUPERVISION (2 of 2 #87) (??again, confused)
RED / WHITE. 12V ALARM INPUT (+) (i think this is a big duh, but on this alarm it's ran into the fused side of the solid red wire.) BLACK. SYSTEM GROUND (-) (again, duh)
BROWN. (-) NEGATIVE DOOR INPUT (does this go inline with the door jamb switch wire?)
YELLOW. IGNITION INPUT (+) (again, assuming that this goes inline with the pink 'ignition' wire)
GREEN. TRUNK INPUT (-) (trunk light?)
ORANGE. STARTER KILL OUTPUT (-) (totally lost as to where this goes, possibly inline with the yellow starter wire?) this forum is a GODSEND. please help me out further. thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parking light input will be what ever you need the parking light output to be, in your case it will need to be + because your parking lights are +. The domelight supervision will #1 will be ground and #2 will go to the door trigger. Be careful to make sure you have the right wire or you can fry computers with domelight supervision, so if you aren't sure then don't hook it up. Your door trigger input will need to be hooked to 2 wires, so you will need 2 1amp diodes. The orange wire (starter kill output) needs to go to a relay, if you need a diagram just click on the relays section or starter interupts section to the left.
