Hello. just want to run this by somebody else before I hook it up. I want to utilize the drivers side unlock priority of my Compustar alarm. I currently do not have power door locks. I am adding the actuators now. I was going to hook up the relays like this
this diagram.
If I wanted to make both sides lock at once, but drivers side priority unlock, would I just set up a set of relays like the diagram for the drivers side. Then on the passengers side, set up another set of relays, but swap out the Alarm Unlock Output in the diagram with the 2nd Unlock Output from the alarm? Did that all make sense? Need clarification? Let me know. Thanks.
JASON
P.S. If anybody has any cool diagrams for the Compustar 2WFM-A that may help me install this, I'd love them! My email addy is

one more quickie question on door locks:
I'm just getting around to installing my door lock actuators. they are a 2 wire Omega actuator. I cant tell which wire is for lock and which is for unlock. the colors are green and purple. are these standard colors or am I gonna have to play around with this? TIA
JASON
The wires are alternating ( doesn't matter which is which at the actuator ). You just need to have both wires the same when you wire up the relay. For example the PURPLE wire will be the lock so make sure that both PURPLE Wires go to the lock relay and that the lock wire from the alarm go to the same relay.

Green is typically standard for lock . You only need 3 relays for your application. Assuming that green is common lock for both doors wire your relays as follows: on all three relays connect 87 and 86 to constant 12V+ and on all three relays connect 87a to chassis ground. connect both green wires from the both actuators to 30 of one relay and that same relay connect 85 to them alarms lock output. Now simply connect the purple of the drivers actuator to 30 of another relay and the alarms priority unlock outoput to 85 of that same relay . Now 2 more wires and one relay 85 to alarms all unlock output and 30 to passengers door lock actuator(s).

Ok guys, scratch this idea. I decided to have both drivers and passengers side lock and unlock at the same time (I tried the drivers side priority unlock bit and didnt like it as much as I thought I would). So I used this diagram:
https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#arpNow say I want to add a switch inside the vehicle to control the power door locks. How would I modify this diagram? Thanks.
JASON
P.S. I would like to add that this is the only outstanding part of my alarm install, with this sites help I have finished everything else (that I want to do now - prob will add more later). It has turned out VERY well. Thanks everybody for your help!
Hey Jason, you should be able to use any momentary SPDT switch in the following configuration:
Also this configuration assumes you want to lock all of the doors from either switch. A common setup in most two-door vehicals. I hope this helps!
