Aloha All,

I have recently installed an Autopage RF850 (https://www.autopageusa.com/Products/2Way/rs850.htm).  The vehicle is my ’03 Nissan Xterra.  The remote starter connections were also made and everything works great!  My next step is to install Power Window Modules to all four windows in the vehicle.

My question is simple, how you folks typically connect these modules.  I was thinking of using an ‘ARM’ pulse to roll up all four windows (naturally).  Then I was going to use one of the four available auxiliary output channels to roll down the front windows only.  What other connections should I make, are you folks connecting these up to buttons in the car so the driver can roll up/down front windows without using the remote.  Any suggestions would be great.  I feel like a kid with a new toy, the 850LCD is a great alarm with an improved range of the 750LCD in my Nissan Altima.  It can now reach into areas of my workplace the 750 could not.

Also, if you folks have any ideas for the remaining auxiliary outputs on the alarm please let me know.

Thanks,

Rob

Thank you Admin, thats what I suspected.  I was a little surprised not to be able to edit my post to correct the problem.  Here is a repost that hopefully doesnt contain any problems.

Connect the ground when armed wire to the roll up trigger, and an aux. output to the roll down trigger. If you have extra aux. output, hook one of them up to the roll up trigger as well so you can roll the windows up when armed. Usefull if you have your windows vented and it starts raining.

Thanks JWorm but thats pretty much what I said.  Does anyone have anything to ADD?  Anyone installing driver controlls for use with the windows as well?  My previous car Auto Roll UP and Auto Roll DOWN for the front windows.  The module will be able to easily do this for my new truck.

Thanks

In case anyone was following this thread or reads it in the future...

The Model 530T (which is discussed here quite frequently) automatically integrates its one-touch feature into your vehicle controls.  If you purchase just one device for your front windows you will have one-touch up/down from the driver controls only.  If you want the passenger controls to have one-touch you must route two wires from the module to that door switch.

This seems like a great little unit, reliably rolling my windows in both directions.  I wish there was a seperate AUX wire to trigger the venting.  I also wished there was a seperate wire to trigger a roll up.

My RF850 has 4 Aux channels so I may rig one up with a 2 second pulse to "vent" and tie in another AUX with a 5 second pulse to force a roll down so I can either vent or roll down by choice of button instead of using one button and holding it down.

Aloha.
