I have an 01 Accord LX V6 and am trying to install a trunk release kit, but i cant find the trunk release wire from the alarm. Basicaly i want to use the option button on my alarm to remote open the trunk. If anybody knows which wire it is or has a wiring diagram it would help alot

Do you want to find the option wire from the alarm or the wire in the car that releases the trunk? Depends on the alarm... but a lot of alarms use a purple wire as the option.  if your option is not being used right now, that wire should have nothing attached to it.  as far as the trunk release wire in the car, look in the trunk to find the wire to see what color it is.  then look for that same color wire in the fuse box and test it to make sure that it is the right wire.  dont forget to use a relay, the alarms output is probably not strong enough.

the wire should be WHITE/ red + pol. behind drivers side fuse box....... although I cant remember 100% this should be right .  or try at the keyless module or the factory alarm plug. are you installing a stand-alone trunk release /keyless entry system ? if so be aware of the factory alarm controls

if i tap into the RED / white wire is it connected to the remote or is that just for an internal switch. by the way i am installing a universal trunk popper and am trying to tap into the alarm option but i need the wiring diagram for the alarm so i can find which pin/wire is connected to the option feature.

no it doesnt. and i didnt find the wire!!! i think im going to buy a connector and try to find the plug that it goes into on the alarm. Basically i think that the wire isnt on the harness so i have to connect a wire to the harness by putting it in one of the holes where the pins on the alarm are. i hope im right and it works.

you may not be ablt to drill through the metal mech. you may have to wrap the cable around it and attach it to its self. i did a honda about a yr ago and it worked out great. i should have taken a pic of. but that would have been to helpful. you will have to get creative...

AAAHHHHH HELP!!! I was installing a remote trunk release kit on my factory alarm for a 01 Accord V6, and i finished wiring everything and tested everything and it worked just fine. So then i put everything back together and closed up the car and tried to arm my alarm and nothing! the alarm stoped responding so i put everyhting back to stock and it still doesn't work. I checked all of the fuses, and checked all of the wires, and tested the alarm and it is geting power but usually when i plug the alarm in the red LED lights up for a second and then stops but this time when i pluged the alarm in the LED didnt light up, there is no voltage output to the LED at all. And like i said the alarm doesnt respond please help!! Any ideas would be appreciated!

If your car came with a remote control that pops the trunk you just wasted your time and money installing a solenoid. Some LX's come with it, some don't.
