Recently the transmitter stopped confirming signals from the brain. Also there's some minor problems with a false signal, when arming the alarm a shock sensor on the transmitter would beep. I read previous posts which searching that the RS3 had problems so hence the new RS3.5 was now out. Is there a way to get a newer version of it? I bought my alarm off of ebay and installed it myself. Is it even worth bothering for an upgrade? Thanx

i dont think the new remote would fix everything, the signal generated by the unit side not the remote side.

The first generation 478 series remotes suck. They go bad all the time and exhibit the problems being seen here. If he gets a new one everything should work fine. There is a small chance something else could be the problem though. I've heard of the antenna or cable needing to be replaced, but those problems are rare compared to the remote freaking out.
