Hi,

I'm going to install a Crimestopper RS900 VI into a '93 Ford Taurus. The module does not have domelight supervision for when you unlock the car. Actually, it has 1 wire, either for domelight supervision, or for the trunk release, go figure. Since we need to have the trunk release, I was curious if there's a way to have domelight supervision some other way?

Here's a link to the manual

By the way, if you could tell me which type of door lock diagram I should use, that would be cool, too. I think it's the reverse polarity one, but I would like someone to verify that.

Split the output and use diodes.

CPGOOSE,

There are only two options for the trunk release, and the dome light.

By default the unit will provide a 1 second pulse to activate the trunk release soleniod.

If you wanted to use the dome light supervision, which requires the unit to be re-programmed for a 30 second timed output.

Perhaps a combination of using the schematic of changing a pulsed output to a timed out put could be implemented here.

I would simply use the momentary pulsed output set for the trunk release and tie that relay to the second one which will be configured to be a timed output, with the proper capacitor in place.

Hmmm, I was curious if I could tap into something like the parking lights, but couldn't see how that would do it.
