i have a question about this....if my alarm has a 1/2 second pulse and i would like to extend this time with a relay and a capacitor with a resistor...what capacitor would i buy and resister....i want to use this for the sunroof which is a neg(-) pulse, what i would need is 4 seconds and to roll my windows that is also a negative pulse with only 1/2 available from my alarm to 5 seconds or more....i also really want to extend a positive pulse that is 1/2sec to a full second. this will solve all my dilemma's of my car...thank you to all who have any info

You will have to play with different capacitors and resistors. Only you will be able to know after you hooked everything up wether or not the capacitance is enough or too much. Start out with a 25 - 30 k uf capacitor and see how long of the duration you have and go from here up or down.
