I have a question for the experts about my Lynx 2000 Alarm-R/S combo unit.  Currently I have both a shock sensor and a proximity sensor installed and they work fine, but on the remote when a shock is detected, it shows impact like normal and the proximity shows as the hood opened!!..  My question is can I have my installer hook it up I assume using diodes, so when the proximity is tripped it would show as BOTH impact and doors.. or BOTH impact and hood..  WILL THIS DO DAMAGE TO THE CPU/ALARM BRAIN UNIT??   I want to be able to tell if it is infact the proximity and not someone opening the hood.  The car is a convertible, and so I often park it with the top and windows down, so when it has gone off, it always shows as the hood opened

Thanks...

Yes you can do this. Very easy to do with diodes ( your installer will be able to do this for you ).

Thank you Jeff.  I just wanted to be sure it would not damage the unit..
