How can I tell if this car has a transponder in the key, the diagram say that some models have the transponder ans I would like to have the transponder bypass when I start wiring the remote start in this car.

IF IT DOESNT HAVE A FACTORY ALARM AND DOESNT HAVE LEATHER INTERIOR,IT WONT HAVE A FACTORY IMMOBILIZER.ALSO LOOK AT THE BLACK RUBBER PORTION OF THE KEY,IF IT IS THICKER THAN THE NORMAL KEYS,IT HAS AN IMMOBILIZER.
ALSO LOOK AT THE SPARE KEYS,IF ANY ONE IS TOTALLY SILVER NO IMMOBILIZER PRESENT.

Transponders started in 2001-02 for the Toyota RAV4 if you are using a DEI piece then it will be the 555F, 555U, or 555X.
