I have an autopage RS-650 Plus which i am installing in a 98 corolla.  This corolla has no pwr windows or pwr door locks. So far i have only hooked up the heavy gauge wires for starter, constant 12v, ign 1 and 2, and Accessory.

Now I am looking for the green wire for the parking lights to hook up to the arlam.  There are so many green wires. for instant there are 3 in the headlight switch harness and numerous others in the drivers side kickpanel. I have more than two wire diagrams saying that the wire is in different places. What is the best place to hook up this parking Lamp?

my arlam has 8 connecting pins connectors attached to it. one of those pin is labled 3pin door lock connector. it has (-/+)unlock pluse and (-/+)lock pluse. Where would i connect this if i do not have pwr door locks?

I have another connector which is a 5 pin for output connection. It has: a (-)500mA Grounded Output when Armed, (-)200mA Ign 3 contol Output, (-)200mA Programmable output for Dome light control output OR horn output OR factory security rearm signal output OR 3rd channel output, (-)200mA programmable output 2-step door unlock output OR Factory Security Disarm Signal output OR Start Status(shock Sensor Byypass Control) output, AND a (-)200 mA Programmable output chanel 2 output. Can you tell me where i would connect any of these wires?  I know that they need relay connectors for whatever i decide to do with these wires.

The  next connector is an 7 pin connector. (-)Ground input for hood/trunk pin switches. the arlam came with a hood pin switch. (-)Neg Door pin Trigger Input (is for grounding type factory door pins). (+)Pos door switch sensing input (is for positve type factory door pins). (-)Neg safety shutdown for hood pin switch input (arlam comes with hood pin switch). (+)Pos safety shut down for brake input(i know where this goes). (-)Remote Start Enable Toggle Switch Input/(-)Neutral safety switch Input(?huh?). Tachometer Signal connection(I know where this connects.).  do i really need to connect these door pin trigger if i do not have pwr door locks? What about the hood pin do i need that as an added precaution?

I know this is going to be a long paragraph but,

Ok, first if you do not have power doorlocks then you don't hook up any of the wires dealing with the door locks. For the parking lights (not headlights, they don't like to be flashed, they will wear out fast) you will need to connect it to the green wire that shows +12V when the parking lights/headlights is on. The negative ground when armed is for starter kill and window modules. The third ignition output is used if the vehicle has a third ignition wire or you have to have a module turn on such as an immobilizer defeat. The 2nd and 3rd channel ouputs are for different accessories, if you are not adding any then they don't get hooked up. The hood and trunk pin wire are for exactly that, it will set the alarm off if either are opened, in a remote start situation it may also prevent the alarm from starting the vehicle if the hood is open for safety reasons. The negative door trigger wire will go to the wire that tells the car when the door is opened. You have no use for the positive door trigger being that your car is an import. The negative hood pin for remote start shutdown would go to the same hood pin as the negative instant trigger. The positive shut down for the brakes goes to the wire that shows +12V when you press on the brakes, this is also how the alarm knows that you are ready to drive( basically you get in turn the key to run and push on the brake to shift so it turns the remote start off). The (-)Remote Start Enable Toggle Switch Input/(-)Neutral safety switch Input is used primarily on vehicles that can start in gear, the car will send a ground when the car is in park/nuetral allowing the remote start to operate(if your car cannot start in gear then either ground this wire or run it through a toggle switch). The tach wire basically is a way for the alarm to check if the car started, you said you already know where this goes. Door triggers and lock wires are two completely seperate things, you need to hook the door trigger up or the alarm will not know when the doors are open, so basically your alarm is useless without this wire hooked up. Hood pin is really upto you, but I recommend installing it for the added security for the car and for your health, it wouldn't be good if you happened to disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, the vehicle starts, hand gets caught in a belt, etc...
