Subject: Really odd 530T problem

I have a Compustar WSS-AS.....I finally have everything working on it and i hooked up a DEI 530T module to have control of my windows. 1 touch up/down work on all 3 switchs and i have the first AUX hooked up to the windows down that works wonderful. The problem is..... the voilet wire coming from the CM3000 brain is wired to a relay that is a "starter kill/anti grind" that puts out a (-)250ma pulse when armed. I hooked up the orange wire from the 530 to this. What it did was roll the windows up as soon as the ignition was turned off no upon arming. I read up and it said install a diode (cathode band towards the alarm) inline to negate the feedback the relay was giving. I did this and it did the same thing....I took the diode out and wired the orange wire back into th violet and now it wont roll up at all.....when i turn the ignition off or arm it.....I checked all the fuses and they work, no wires are fried and the starter relay is still working....I dont know what caused it to not work...Did i fry something, any suggestions on what i should look into, thanks.....

Ok, install the diode with the cathode(stripe side) facing the alarm. Then tag the ground when armed between the diode and alarm for the window module. You probably tagged it between the diode and the ignition wire. Have you verified that you have power at the window module with a meter? Do the windows work with the factory switches? Have you tried to unplug the harnesses at the window module and plug them back in just to make sure that they didn't come loose?

test your starter kill relay by starting your car with the alarm on. if the car starts it with your ground when armed wire.

auex - i installed the diode that way and it didnt work. I do have power at the module and the windows work with the factory switchs as well. I also swapped out another 530 with the one i have in and it did the same thing so the module i dont think is bad. I guess ill test that relay to see if that's the problem

millevoy - could i have fried the relay? and im confused are you saying about starting the car with the alarm armed the car, what does that test?

Thanks

Ok another update!!! The car did not start when armed so the starter kill relay is working BUT now its rolling the windows up when i turn off the ignition again.....stupid electronics  :-(   My last question is should i diode isolate only the "ground when armed wire" or should i isolate that one AND the orange off the 530T? The reason i ask is when i did this before i didtn work at all.....Thanks for all the assistance!

No, You need to do what I said the first time. You have to isolate the starter kill from the alarm and window module. This is what is causing the problem. If you don't believe look then find a diagram.
