I just installed a black widow bwfm550 model car alarm in my girlfriend's 96 honda accord.  I got everything to work except the door trigger does not arm the alarm or go off when the car alarm is alarmed.  Does anyone know what could be the problem?  Plus where can I get another copy of the installation instructions for that particular black widow car alarm?

thanks

aric

first of all, u need to be more specific about the car.  what year/make/mode?  second, its clear you hit the wrong door trigger and/or used the wrong trigger input on the alarm....

It is very common for the door triggers to corrode. I would suggest that you make this simple check first at each door to varify that it is not just a simple door switch that is setting you back.

Another suggestion is to varify that you have the correct wire which is BLACK/ WHITE (-) which can be accessed at the drivers dash panel.
