I just installed a Lynx 2000R in a Jeep Wrangler 5-speed. Everything seems to be working great, but are the parking lights supposed to continue flashing when its remote started? If so is there anyway to make them stay either on or off without flashing on and off?

Yes they are supposed to flash. Ther eis not a programming option to stop them from flashing though.

If you don't want them to flash you could wire a relay up off of the second/third ign output to brake contact between the alarm's parking light wire and the car's wiring.

The Lynx 2000 has a 3rd ignition wire that is a negative out. Im not a wiring guru, is there a way to use this 3rd ignition with a relay to shut down the flashing parking lights?

auex - Could you post the connections on how to wire a relay to accomplish this feat?

thanks, Steve

It is similar to a starter kill. Just take the 3rd ignition output to pin 86 of a relay, pin 85 will be +12V, 30 will be parking light output from alarm, pin 87A will parking light output to car. This way when ever the remote start is activated the alarm will not be able to flash the parking lights. it is similar to the diagram below.

Thanks auex - I will give this a shot later this week or next weekend.

Just so I am sure, you are saying the 3rd ignition out which is Negative on the Lynx will work.

Thanks,

Steve
