Prestge APS785

I think my prestige APS785 is acting up.  The alarm triggers when the remote start is activated while the alarm itself is armmed.  This happens randomly.  Sometimes a couple seconds after autostarting and sometimes minutes after the car is autostarted.  I first suspected the door trigger wire being triggered by the factory alarms domelight supervision.  So I cut that.  Same problem.  Then I cut the hood pin switch suspecting a faulty hood switch.  Same problem.  My last suspect is the shock sensor.  The only thing is I don't know how to check this because the alarm does not work when the sensor is unplugged.  I am wondering if anyone ever had this same problem.  Or does anyone know how to check if the shock sensor is faulty?

try turning your shock sensor down a notch and see what happens

i had the same problem with the same unit........its really weird because ive installed close to 50 of these units and never had this problem until 2 weeks ago. the shock sensors are supposed to shut off just before r/s and turn back on just after r/s. i tried 3 new brains and 3 new shock sensors, all did the same thing. the only thing that worked was lowering the shock sensor...customer hasnt call me since so i know that solved it....but i would also like to know why it did that.

I am having the same exact problem with a different brand, its the Autopage RS 650.  I installed them into a 2003 honda pilot and a 2000 toyota 4runner, both are having the same problem, when remote starting, the alarms go off.  The only difference is that your having the same issue with prestige and i am having it with Autopage.  I havent really try diagnosing the problem yet, but when i do, if i figure out what it is, i will let you know.
