I am finally finishing the installation of my remote starter. It works fine, but I have to unlock the doors before I use it. The remote starter I have has an unlock/lock button and I have all the relays for it. The problem is that I cannot find the wires for it. I have been trying to also find the factory alarm turn off wire. The remote starter has a wire that will turn off the factory alarm when it trys to start the vehicle.

Any help would be appreciated. I am tired of laying on my back under the dash. posted_image

Vehicle Info:  1998 Dodge Dakota Club Cab V-8

Thanks in advance.

POWER LOCK   organge/purple or GREEN/ black  (+) located in drivers  kick   panel

POWER UNLOCK  pink/purple *1      (+)  located indrivers kick panel

FACTORY ALRM DISARM    BLACK/ orange        (-)   located in drivers door harness

*1 NOTE: if the vehicle did not come with factory keyless entry the just hook up your alarm's positve lock and unlock outputs to the provided wire colors above. However, if the vehicle came with factory keyless entry then you have to hook-up the unlock as a 5-wire setup  Relay configuration(87-12V+               85- alarms positve unlock output  86- ground   87a- cut pink/purple and attach to switch side   30- motor side of the cut pink/purple)

Any questions? Just call me at 561-315-7053 Don

P.S.  Forget the silly FACTORY ALARM DISARM. Its only a factor if you set the factory alarm by using the factory keyless remote or by locking the doors via the door lock switch prior to closing the door when you get out. Just use your aftermarket alarm to lock the doors. If you insist on wasting you time go ahead and hook it up, the colr was provided for you
