I know that this is a very basic thing but I am putting together an alarm/remote start and I have one thing left to get.  Siren.

I am looking for something that is obviously loud but also has different tones than the typical alarm siren. (if its out there)  also When the alarm arms and unarms I don't want it to be making loud chirps as I leave for work sometmes as early as 4am and prefer to stay on good terms with my neighbor.

Thanks in advance
Nick

well most alarms that i know of have the same tones. so i cant help you there but if u want to have it not chirp that should be part of your alarm system itself. check to see if u have silent arm and disarm most of the alarms out there have it. wither it has to be programed or by holding down one of the buttons on the remote.
hope that helps

Well I have found a few different siren models that I like however is there any restrictions as to how loud a car alarm can be and for such

I have found a few 140db sirens but I have also found a police siren which they don't give the db out put but they are 100 watts. I don't know if they are self powered or require some kind of externel amp.  Just thought that would be cool... the theif would think the police were rollin up on him!
