So i'm sitting in my car and I am upgrading my cd changer for my alpine to an mp3 changer and I wanted to change the cable from the changer to the head unit because the one i was using was hacked to all hell, so while im changing the cable with the car off (battery not disconnected, the key was off), my doors lock by themself and my interior lights go off and will not come back on. I thought it was not biggie, just battery rundown protection or something, but it gets worse. It's as iff i blew a fuse or something because my power locks will not work unless i have the key in the ON position. They are usually able to be toggeled whether the car is on or off, but now when i open my doors, m lights wont come one and there are a few more thing i noticed, ill list below...
1. my headlights are now "switched". Like, if i have the key OFF, and I turn my headlights on, they will NOT come on until i turn m key to the ON position.
2. My key reminder chime no longer works, at all.
3. The car starts and m hvac, traction control, and abs all work, so do my guages, but my sunroof, center pod, and radio are nonfunctional. As well as my interior lights.
4. The locks will work when the key in is the ON position, but thats all, my power windows work as they should.
5. My factory antitheft system no longer is functional.
I unplugged my battery for like an hour and nothing happened. Can anyone help me?
My car is a 2001 Dodge Stratus Coupe R/T, those of you who are car enthusiasts will alredy know that my car is mechanically identical to a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Please, any feedback/info would be appreciated.
Im guessing you have checked all the fuses?
Post a list of what is not working, and what is not working unless you turn the key to the on postion. I will search on Alldata, and see if they have anything in common.

I have just checked Alldata, and they are all powered up to the fuse, by a fuseable link. Somewhat near the battery. Check them, they may look ok, but wiggle them to make sure they havent melted inside the wire.
Post how it goes...
