There is an error in the Installer diagrams for the Ford Mustang 99+

It says that the WHITE/ Pink is the Neutral Saftey wire. This is incorect.  That wire is for the Starter.  This could cause a world of problems for someone.

My information is comming directly from Ford's Tech website.

White with the pink tracer suplies fuse # 6 on start which in turn powers the STARTER. here is the diagram

I just don't want to see someone making a mistake on something like this!

The wire color we have listed for the starter is WHITE/ Pink. We also have a WHITE/ Pink listed as the neutral safety wire. Again, hence our disclaimer. Regardless of where you get your information, you should always verify all wires with your meter before making any connections. BTW, what color do they have listed for the neutral safety wire in this vehicle?

I will have to have my brother check (Ford Tech) thats where I got that Info from.  They have a website for there techs which has the wiring diagrams for all ford cars from 1984 and up.  Along with other tech info. Any which way.

But can you have 2 of the same color wires in the same harnes?

I understand the disclaimer I just thought it would be nice to post the info so that the next person doesn't have to question it.  I unfortunatly don't have the knowledge to help other people here on the website being fairly new to the 12 volt scene.  So when I can contribute even on something so small I would like to.

I will get you the info on the neutral safty wire ASAP.

Thanks again this is a great website!

If you have ever done an alarm in a civic then you know there are the same color wires in the same harness. For example, in one harness high in the dash of a civic there are about 10 RED / black wires, most do the same thing but still there are 10 of them, toyota cars share the same color wire for the power amplifier and the vss wire, older honda vehicles have the same color wire for parking lights and door triggers, etc...
