have one in the shop next week. Autosoft says its negative pulse in the kickpanel (seems pretty typical), but designtech says its a weird one wire setup. Can anybody confirmt he doorlock circuit in this van? Its got factor actuators in all doors (and they work), but no switch. They work by feedback....pop one manually, they all pop....

hi techsoft says one wire pulse for lock and cut for unlock

good luck

I don't know if they had vacuum locks in that year, but if it does then you might have to add actuators.
no vacuum (wasn't it just older benzos and beamers with those?) again, there are NO switches on any of the doors. However, if you /manually/ actuate one of the locks (with the key in the door or the knob inside), it causes all the other locks to follow.
have you ever installed an aftermarket kit with 5 wire actuators? these behave the same way. Looking further, techsoft and designtech seem to agree (pulse ground to unlock, break continuity for lock) and designtech has a simple single relay diagram for this that looks like it'll work.
but....Autosoft (my favourite and most trusted resource) calls it negative pulse, both trigger wires in the dkp. Guess I'll find out for sure when I get into it, but its "for a family member" so its on me, and I don't wanna spend 2 hours trying to determine the doorlock circuit.....if anybody has done one of these badboys recently, can u share???
thks,

sorry not vacuum locks but "central locking" regardless you actually need to add an actuator to the drivers door to activate all the other doors for lock and unlock.
yep, central locking...but you're wrong. there is an actuator in the ALL doors. I tried from every door in the truck, and each one opens them all (so if the driver door pops, it must have an actuator!!)
