I have recently installed an aftermarket alarm in my car along with power door locks.

Everything is working great, but I would like to do one more thing. When it is cold, I like to start my car, lock it up and let it warm up. With my old car and alarm, I could do this, when I pressed the arm button while the car was running, it would lock and unlock the doors.

My new alarm does not do this. But I do have a second/aux channel with a 2nd button on the remote. When this is presssed it sends a negitive pulse to a certian wire.

I am trying to figure out a way to use relays so that this single wire could alternate locking and unlocking the doors. If you know of a relay, or way to wire a few relays together would be great. I already have two 'auto' relays for the door locks now.
Thanks ahead of time. Your time and efforts are appreciated,
James

what kind of r/s is it??  many products have "total closure" or "complete lock" functions that ensure the doorlocks are locked after EVERY operation.  In my 2002 grand prix. I start the car and it locks the doors.  shut down and locks the doors.  engine runtime expires, locks the doors, etc.  This sounds like what you need....autostart products have it....

what you /could/ do is use the aux channel trigger and tie it (with diodes) to the lock output on the unit.  This way you can use it as an auxillary lock function...make sure you diode isolate both triggers to prevent feedback/lockup.
