I have the factory security system with a intergeated remote/key. Is this a decent system?  I'm hestitant to go aftermarket beacuse of the 2 remotes issue. Is there any way to supplement/upgrade the Audi system?

The Audi factory system and most other factory systems do not have radar or impact sesning features. They only sense that the door is open and the alarm is activated. If you bring your car into any installation shop , they should be able to integrate the aftermarket alarm system into your existing system and then you will only have the alarm remote and you should still be able to use your factory remote as well.
