I am an installer of many 12volt products. I have recently purchased a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse. The car is a 5 speed manual transmission, and I have installed a viper 791 xv alarm/remote start in it. The only problem is, in order to get the car to remote start, I need to bypass the clutch switches. When the clutch is pressed in, one pin switch makes contact and another is broken and vice versa. Anyone know how to bypass the clutch start feature on this particular vehicle?????

you can use two relays, one normally open and one normally closed to simulate the clutch being pressed

I have tried the dual relay setup, actually I cheated. I looped the one switch that doesn't affect factory operation of the clutch. The other switch i tried applying ground to either side spliting while starting and connecting while starting. none of this worked. Maybe there is a resistance value upon pressing the clutch. All the input is very helpful, Thank you.
