Can someone tell me the doorlock wires for a 2003 silverado. It has no factory alarm or keyless entry. Due to this I don't think I tie into the databus wire. Instead do I need to find the lt. blue and white wires at the bcm?? Are they (+) tap? thanks in advance.

DOOR LOCKS-Due To Multiplexing,Each Front Door Is Individually Activated. This Is Accomplished By Using Two Pair of Relays Confiqured As Reversal Rest At Nothing To Control The Actuator Wires Of Each Door. GREY = LOCK,TAN = UNLOCK The Door Panel Must Be Removed To Access The Actuator Wires. To Opperate The Rear Passenger Doors- Apply A Negative Pulse to Pin #85 Of The Rear Door Lock/Unlock Relays Located Under The Driver's Dash. DATABUS: DataBus Door Lock Interface Module Is Available.

It is a chevy silverado 2-dr.
DRAASCH....
Thanks for the post, but i'm afraid i'm a bit confused about which wires i need. Do i need to power up relays as if they were reverse polarity and tie into grey and tan wires, or are they a (-) tap on the lt. blue and white?

i went into the doors and found the actuator wires (tan and grey)
they read +12 when popped lock and unlock.
do i need to tap into these wires as if they were reverse polarity/actuator. Will this pop both driver and passenger doors?
Any help would be much appreciatd

You should be able to use the blue and white (-) trigger wires at the BCM. I did an H2 that had the same wire colors and locations, and it worked fine with those two only.

i thought the 03 trucks needed that 456g... that should handle a lot of wiring. https://directed.com/guides/manuals/ig/accessories/N456G.pdf

sroth140.....
Most 03 silverado's do need the 456g. However, this one is the very base model, so i don't think it uses the databus for the locks.
chriswallace187....
I tested the lt. blue and white wires (same for my truck) and they didn't show any voltage change. It's strange
draasch.....
I found the actuator wires (tan and grey). They are + when locked and unlocked. Do I need to wire these up as if they were reverse polarity??
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU REPLYING ... WE ALL KNOW HOW NICE HELP CAN BE!

Just out of curiosity, were you testing the lt. blue and white wires in the purple plug?

ummmm.....not really sure. I know that there was more thank one plug w/ those colored wires. I'm pretty sure that I checked all the colors at all the plugs at the bcm corresponding to those colors. Which plug is the right plug?? If I can get the wires at the actuator, how can I wire them up?

my 2 cents on the DEI 456G part. check the on board diagnostics plug under the drivers side dash for a small gauge VIOLET wire. That will most likely be your databus wire and is a quick way to doorlocks, park/headlight illum, factory alarm disarm, etc. Just a note, otherwise you have to find each wire, and more work is imminent. I believe you can catch the lock/unlock either in the drivers kick panel or @ the BCM. Good luck ------------- I just saved a ton on my car insurance!
