I have got a Prostart ct-5000 alarm and i have some problems with it i will try to go over them so you guys will undestand.

first of all there are two wire which i have no idea where to connect.

the first one is REARM output it says it should be connected to OEM arm wire which is usualy the door pin. I have no idea where is it and how to find it.

Second wire is Disarm output says it has to be connected to the cars OEM disram wire and again i have no idea where and how to find it.

Also the doors wouldnt open from the remote, i think that the wire doesnt get any current i can tell it by measuring the voltage comming out of it. But i think it has to do something with either arm or disarm wires so please help me to figure this out.

Thank you!

ok...first of all, the 97 Safari Van doesn't show on my sheets as having a factory alarm system.  Does the truck have factory keyless entry with a panic button?  If not, I doubt it has security.  If it doesn't, then the disarm/rearm wires should be taped off and not used.

Also my wiring charts show this truck as positive pulse.  Your prostarts standard doorlock outputs are negative pulse.  Get yourself an INV-200 or similar polarity inverter.  Takes the negative outputs and changes them to positive through a small transistor network (or use to relays, same thing).  Standard GM light blue (lock) and white (unlock) in the drivers kick.

you know you have the right wires when you see +12V when lock/unlock switch is actuated, and either resting at nothing or very slight ground (depending on what meter ur using).
