I have a 790XV installed in a '03 Dodge Ram truck that has had intermittent failure since the first day installed as follows:  The security system/remote start randomly will not respond to the remote no matter the distance requiring manual entry and disarming via valet switch.  This system was installed by a certified installer who has done many stereos/alarms/remote starts for me over the last 15 years.  He has changed the brain and spent over ten hours on trying to determine the cause with no success.  I have read there are antenna problems and remote problems.   Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like an antenna problem, have your tech run a different wire and install a new antenna. The wire might be pinched or just not transmitting signal properly.

Thx - has anyone had the antenna problem with intermittent failur? -has anyone had problems with the code hopping feature not being able to re-sync? also how real is the problem with remotes and cracked circuit boards (I don't think this is the problem as I have two remotes with same problem)
