first of all let me say that this is an awesome site. i have learned a great deal already. however i have a few questions.
i have a crimestopper gargoyle alarm system with keyless entry which i plan to install this weekend. my truck does not have power locks so i also plan to install a central locking system with the alarm. my question is how do i wire the keyless entry up so that one press of the button unlocks the driver's door while two presses unlocks the passenger's door? ( the central locking system has Four wires: 1 for lock out put 1 unlock output 1 for lock input 1 for unlock input)
your CDL should have two wire that are a neg trigger.....meaning if a ground is added to one of the wires, the door will lock, the other would unlock the doors.........check this site out and see if it helps you......

The unlock driver's door with one press and all doors with a second press requires two things. Your alarm must have this feature. There will be two unlock wires coming out of the alarm. The second part is tricky. Most central aftermarket door lock systems have four or five wire actuators that sense movement. This movement triggers the other actuators. To do it properly you will have to isolate the driver's actuator with relays and you may also have to wire the relays up in such a way that the actuators see a change of state ( + to a neg.) or vice versa. I did it once, but I wouldn't want to try to figure it out again. An easier way might be to just add two wire actuators to each door and isolate only the driver's door with a relay. The only difference is that the only time the doors will lock/unlock is with the alarm's remote.
Hope this helps.

thanks a million sparkie. i am by no means an expert with this stuff and i figured it would be diffucult to do this with my central locking system. i guess i will just have to be happy with both doors unlocking and nothing more. ( with my lack of knowledge i don't think i could figure it out. i get the concept but i don't wanna risk screwing something up)
by the way anone know which door trigger (+ or -) my 2003 f150 without factory power locks or windows has? i can figure it out once i get the door torn apart, but i just thought i'd ask. thanks
wher is it? there is a labrynth of wires under the dash. which harness is the ignition harness. i am guessing it's the huge mass of wires right above the parking brake.
the one with the big wires headed for the ignition switch in the steering column.
