Okay, I'm putting an alarm/rem start in a 92' MR2.. The passenger side pwr dr lock isnt working.. at all.. now I opened up the door relay module and there are no visible issues with that, fuses are obviously fine as the drivers side works.. anywhere else I can check??

Were they working before the installation of the alarm/remote starter or are you just trying to trouble shoot why they are not working ? This is a 3 wire (-) trigger system. Look at the switch and make sure that the middle wire has (-) on it and then test for continuity between the driver's switch and the passenger switch. Also, test to make sure that there is a (-) signal going into the lock/unlock wires at the switch when testing for continuity.

They worked before the installation, I fear I grounded something out somewhere throughout the install.. so I'm trying to find out where exactly the problem is, I'd rather fix it myself rather than bring it to a dealer..

I'll test those wires, be right back..

and thank you for your help.

Wait.. the door lock switch? Both switches work just fine.. they both lock and unlock the drivers side door.. but not the passenger side door.. so its not the switch..

Ok, I went to the actuator itself, 6 wires in the harness.. the middle 2 pulse +12V, one on lock and one on unlock.. on the drivers side.. but not the passenger side.. so its not getting the signal to lock unlock..

Do the door lock wires go anywhere else but from the switch to the door/relay module back to the motor?

Test the door lock wires themselves on the passenger side.

it sounds like the motor may have taking a dump......if you shorted anything, i doubt it would have been the pass. motor.....try and test the motor its self..

How could it be the motor though.. its not getting the +12V pulse on lock or unlock, but it does on the drivers side.. wouldn't it still get the pulse even if the motor was blown?

im sorry i miss read the post...check the wire as they enter the door and move your way back toward the point where they do work...it might take a few mins. but you should be able to find the prob..
