How reliable are the 555c for the chrysler vehicles? are they any better than the 555f for fords, which never seem to want to program easily, and placement of the pats capsule is criticle?

hey work pretty good but for safety sake take and wrap the wires that lead to the capsule around the ig switch a couple of times havent had any problems doing that , as for the 555f use a trilogic pkf if its compatible with the vehicle or stock some blank PATS keys program them just like your 555f (you dont need to cut them) and stick it in a universal key in box bypass youll still only have about $30 in the whole deal and the customer wont have to give up a key , i do this with all fords i pay $17 for factory blanks and $8 for bypass on chryslers only a few $$25 for key

so if you have blank pats keys, you can code the new "blank" keys, w/o cutting them? just hold the blank one next to the "coded" key while its in the ignition in the run position, and then repeat the process with the 2nd original programmed key?, ive always been getting the new blank keys cut and then programming them with inserting them into the ignition after the 2 original keys have been in.
I've never liked the 555f, they either work good, or they dont work at all. today i had an install on a 99 mustang, and sure enough, the 555f would not program. so i finally wound up using a key in a keybox and now i owe the customer a new key, which is really no big deal. they're like $6 from HOWARD KEYS 800-524-9199, just a big inconvinence
