I just purchased a 2000 Ford pick-up truck. It has power door locks, and it has a dealer installed security system. Silencer Security System by Magadyne).

When I arm the alarm with the remote transmitter, the horn sounds but the doors do not lock. Without having to go back to the dealer and ask for an upgraded package, how can I hook the door locks into the system?

How can I tell if the vehicle was originally equipped  with a keyless remote entry system?

put the key in the ignition and turn it to the run position and then back to the rest position and back to the run on the eighth time the key is in the run position leave it in that position and in less than a second you will see the locks dance up and down one time if it does that you have factory keyless.

Thanks, I'll try it again, but I believe I tried it that way and it didn't work. Maybe I didn't end the eighth cycle on run, but no other way would make sense.
