Hello,

Ok, I hooked up my python 1500 esp today. It appears that everything is right except for the remote start. When I activate the remote start it cranks and then dies immediately. I have a dei 555L hooked up to bypass the passlock system. I'm not sure if that's where the problem is or what. It won't run on voltage sense or tach sense. I'm kinda lost here. I don't know how to check the 555L to see if it's working right or what. Any suggestions please?

nevermind everybody,

i was installing it in a 99 chevy by the way. i didn't realize that you had to program the brain for the 555L. it was setup originally to disarm the factory alarm which would only pulse. The pulse wasn't long enough to bypass the passlock system to allow the truck to crank and stay running.
