Do you have a pellet in shaft of the key? If not then you dont need anything. If you do, you have VATS, and you can buy a bypass for it, or just use a resistor and a relay. Let me know if you want to know how to bypass using a relay and resistor.

i have a 555L passlock interface, but can you tell me how to do it with a relay and resistor, and then with a passlock interface. it has the pellet in the middle so is it a passlock 1 or 2

if it has the pellet it is vats not one or two use a resistor and a relay it the alarm remote start if it is a dei product it will tell you how to wire the relay with the resistor

use a dmm to measure the resistence on the key, then buy a resistor within 5% of that.
VATS wires can be located coming from the key cylinder, and run along the main ignition harness. They are 2 thin wires in an orange loom. The loom actually looks like one thicker wire but it is a flatter.
Cut one and tap the other and wire the relay and reisstor as follows:
Pin 30 to the starter side of the cut wire
Pin 87a to the key side of the cut wire
Pin 87 to one side of the resistor
The other side of the resistor to the tapped white wire
Pin 85 to 12v+ or Ignition+
I dont work with dei products so I cant say how that bypass works.

stick the key in a vice to hold it, then probe the sides of the pellet. copy the resistance you meter with whatever series/parallel combo you feel like comming up with. you have a 5% tolerance rage to play with. heres a VATS diagram for you: https://home.insightbb.com/~sroth140/VATS.JPG
