I have a viper 500 Hf installed in my ride, my shock sensor stopped working. I have tried a replacment sensor but still no luck, this is the type that just plugs into the "brain" unit. The strange thing is when the contacts inside the connector are jumped together I get an instant triggerposted_image  Is there someway to clip the plug on the sensor and wire it to other leads coming from the "brain"???? I'm also looking for some help on adding a DEI channel expander to my system, I have a four door accord with all four door handels shaved but ran out of channels to use for the rear doors and trunk etc. Thanks for anybodys help...day952@aol.com

Yeah, there is a way............wanna know............Ok I'll tell you

go to your local store and get some diodes!!  The diodes will help the alarm isolate the triggers as well as prevent false alarms....just but teh cathode ( or band) towards the pin switches ( which is what I'm assuming you are using for the hhod and trunk) and tap them into the door trigger wire.  Make sure the band is towards the pinswitch!!

Now onto the shock sensor......your best bet would be to have the brain checked....it might be fubared inside where the shock sensor plugs in at...another possibility is ( I just recently started working with DEI's so I'm not too familiar with them) is you might have accidentally shut off the shock sensor with the remote....consult your manual and it willstate whether ot not your alarm has that ability...if it does..go the the proceudre and see if you can turn it back on...if not, go to your local DEI dealer and have them look at it....that's all I can offer right now....I'll ask in the shop tomorrow, maybe one of the other installers I work with has an idea...
