taping into DEI shock sensor harness

i just got my hands on the 508 dual stage motion sensor, i was wondering can i just tap into my shock sensor's harness or would i have to tape into another positve and negative source.?

Cut the blue and green wires of the shock sensor's harness. Join the blue and green wires from the shock sensor and hook them to the blue, then join the blue and green from the 508 and then hook them to the green. As far as power goes, according to dei you are not supposed to tie into the power and ground for the shock sensor.

interesting, so it doesnt matter if the two wires are together? hmm, and would you need a diode?

He is Right.

You dont need to use diodes.   Just join the wires together as mentioned above.   Your alarm is a multiplexed system, so it can distinguished between a full trigger and a warn away signal.   You will still have separate zones if you use above method.   But do not tap into the red and black of the shok sensor.
